LAW OF ATTRACTION

           Lately the media has been talking about a supposedly new idea called “the secret”.  In truth this idea is not new at all.  In fact it is as old as the creation itself. The supposed secret has been taught and practiced in virtually every culture and religion known to man. 

          The secret has its foundation in the story of creation. By the way as I have researched this subject I found variations of the same story of creation as is in Genesis in almost every religion and past culture in the world. That amazed me because I found the Native American Indians,  Hindus, Mayas, Ancient Barbarians,  Buddhist,  and many others believe in various creation theology that closely resemble one another. I found no big bang stuff out there except one. That is a testament to the validity of creation! Anyway back to the secret.

           The secret is really no secret. Today we call it God’s Law of Attraction. The way God created man (and woman) places this law in practice in each and every life whether we realize it or not. When Jesus came to teach the world about God and salvation He taught many principles that most of us have allowed to completely escape our attention. On of those teachings is directly about the God’s Law of Attraction you see God has created this world through the process of organization and division. (that story is in another on of my  letters if you would like to read it). During the process of organizing (and dividing) God had to put in place laws that could not be broken so we could function and survive. One example is God’s Law of Gravity. There are many other Law’s that are in place that are not as obvious but just as powerful, one of those is the Law of Attraction. Please don’t confuse the early books or the bible with God’s Laws. They are principles and commands that God used to preserve and help His people to understand and prosper. Even the Ten Commandments are not really God’s Laws, they are commandments that we are to live our lives by. If they were God’s Laws instead of commands that could be broken they would be unbreakable rules of authority. If you want to define one of God’s Laws simply judge the consequence of an attempted violation of that Law. I.E.  If you jump out of a building you will fall and pay the consequence of trying to break the Law of Gravity. Another way to identify God’s Laws are the constant effects they have on us. Every step you take you will deal with the Law of Gravity. That’s why my feet are sore at the end of the day. The same applies to God’s Law of Attraction. You will experience the effects of that law even if you don’t realize it exists. I also would like to point out that God’s Laws can also be defined by the fact they are intangible.  Like gravity you can not see it, but it is surely there!

                               The bible says these things about the law of attraction.

          Galations 6:7   Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth,
                                 that   shall he also reap.

          2 Corinthians 9:6   Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,
                                         and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

           Proverbs 23:7   For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he (Remember God resides
                                     in our hearts)

         There are many more verses that support the existence of this law. The bottom line is; Your thoughts and words will attract either positives or negatives into your life. I’ll even step out onto a limb here and say this; your thoughts and words are who you are! They identify you! Look back at Proverbs 23:7! (For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he) With that in mind I know some folks who should be concerned. Think about that for a minute..  Jesus said; “If any man looks upon another woman with lust he has already committed adultery in his heart” Did you know that our relationship with God is judged with what’s in our hearts? Another scary thought huh?

            The Law of Attraction works like this. We have been created with the ability to speak. We have also been given choices to make as we live out our time on earth. Those thoughts and choices are the creational force of our lives. Remember God created us in His own image.  In Genesis God said in no uncertain terms that He spoke the universe into existence. The Law of Attraction is how we think our worlds into existence. It is not a secret, it is who we are. If you think bad, evil, negative thoughts, you will also speak those thoughts. The same applies to positive thoughts and words.  As soon as you generate thoughts you speak words and those words become energy. That energy is a creational force in each of our lives. You will draw to you exactly the things you transmit especially when you think those thoughts in the secret places of your mind. We are accountable to God, ourselves, and those around us for our thoughts and speech. Those things are gifts from God and record is kept in our own hearts. It is one of God’s Laws. We can’t escape any of God’s Laws and our record is on display for others to see until the judgment day. That day all will be tested, seen, and judged. That is another one of God’s Laws.

         "...you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32
